Setting: trying to leave the Westover club swimming pool...Ben takes time to check each chair on the way, sometimes going 5 feet out of the way so as not to miss one.

Mommy: Come on Ben, just go this way. Wow, you are like the Family Circus cartoon.
Ben: Mommy, I'm not a cartoon, I'm just a boy, outside.

Ben also experienced a new milestone, his first really unhealthy meal. We took him to Gatti's for pizza and macaroni and cheese, but the cinnamon bread "was good for me, It makes my tummy feel better."

what you might find when you open the dirty clothes hamper. let's hope this new hobby isn't leveraged to other less benign household receptacles which could be rendered useless and expensive to repair should they become, ahem, non-functioning.

finally, it begins...

after a long two year wait i'm finally getting some work out of him. he was eager to wash daddy's truck. soon he'll be mowing, pruning, watering, cleaning the gutters, repairing, de-clogging, painting, clipping, planting, de-bugging, raking and bagging. and just maybe, if we're in this house long enough he may want to try his hand at belly crawling through the attic insulation and rat droppings to clean the bird nests out of the attic vents.
